Founded in February 2000, Melbourne Salsa are the longest running Salsa school and promoters of street Latin Dancing and Music in Melbourne. We are the founders of the modern Melbourne Salsa Scene and are the only school / promoters that offer dancers and non dancers the full Latin Dancing experience from beginner salsa classes through to the ultimate weekly live Latin Big band experience.

Many salsa class teachers and promoters in Melbourne have either started with us or have been associated with us, making us the “founders” of the Melbourne Salsa social scene. We are all about sharing our love of Latin Dancing.

Our local and international dance instructors offer every possible variation of salsa styles, and other Latin dancing styles all under “one roof”. They include:

New York Salsa, Cuban Salsa, Modern Salsa (aka L.A. Salsa), Brazilian Samba, Bachata, Ballroom Latin Styles and Argentine Tango.

We have a reputation of selecting Melbourne most lavish venues for your Latin dancing experience; Hilton Melbourne, Sofitel, Grosvenor Hotel and Park Hyatt, just to name a few. And our dance studio in Elwood was purposely built for your comfort.

Not only are we teachers and promoters, we offer up and coming professional dancers real work in our Latin Dance Company – you get paid to dance, how cool is that!
