Teaching authentic Cuban Rumba, the Guaguanco, Columbia & Yambu dance Rhythms.
Cuban Rumba a highly energetic and athletic dance which represents a seduction with the woman standing resistant to the mans charms. This six week course will enlighten you on how to integrate Cuban Rumba into other dances, challenge your fitness and dance ability with a focus on the rhythm, technique, movement of yambu, Columbia and guaguanco.
Rafael Navarro Gomez is a master of dance, choreographer and artistic director. Rafael commenced his dancing career when he was 7 years old, and continued through university, studying at the National School of Art and the Institute of Superior Art in Havana and later joining the prestigious Casa del Caribe in Santiago. Rafael has directed international and national cultural events in Cuba, featured in numerous international guides such as the Lonely Planet, and worked in Europe and Australia, sharing his passion for Cuban popular dance and music.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from one of Cuba's best.
Commencing Saturday 21st August 11am - 12pm. Cost $120 for 6 week intensive course. You also have the option to do the classes casualy and pay $20 per session.
