Cha cha cha Dance classes - Every Tuesday at the Grosvenor Hotel
Tuesday September 14 2010

Do you always sit out the Cha cha cha in a club because all you've ever learnt is Salsa and Bachata? Here's your chance to learn one of the most popular Street latin dance styles...
Cha cha cha
With its origin from Cuba, Cha Cha Cha evolved from the Mambo. It is a very popular Street latin dance style because it can be either danced to authentic Cuban music, or Latin Pop or Latin Rock. The music for the international ballroom cha-cha-cha is energetic and with a steady beat. The Cuban cha-cha-ch is more sensual and may involve complex polyrhythms. Characterised by 2 slow steps followed by 3 fast chasses. It became a sensation in the 1950s to dance on the off beat instead of the common down beats.

Your instructor: Laura Anderson
Laura is an accomplished, Ballet, Jazz and Contemporay dancer. After performing in many stage shows and musicals she discovered the slick sexy actions of Latin and the sweeping gracefulness of Ballroom. Training with top international instructors Laura competed across the world at some of the worlds top events, including Blackpool. During her journey across the world Laura came across salsa and bachata and instantly fell in love with both dance styles. With her Latin training behind her she was able to quickly pick up and add her own flare to both styles.
